Village Marquee
The Village Marquee is an institution in its own right. Over the last 25 years the Dry Drayton School And Village Association has owned and hired out a marquee. Currently the S and VA has two marquees. The marquee has featured at most of the summer events, public and private, in the village during that period. It has been a facility for village organisations and local people, and an income generator for the S and VA from other hires. This has only been possible through a large team of willing volunteers giving up time to erect and strike the marquee, and in no small part to the organising skills of a series of marquee organisers, the latest of whom is Neil Harris.
